Sessions and healing

What happens in a session, step by step?

  1. Book and tell us about you. A short form covers what you need help with and a safety check.
  2. A short conversation. Your practitioner asks how you are and explains what will happen.
  3. The sound session. You rest, sitting or lying down, while the bowls play. Online, you listen through headphones.
  4. Coming back gently. A few minutes to notice how you feel.
  5. Your listening plan. Simple practices to use at home, and a suggestion for your next step.

Does sound healing work online?

Yes, for most people. You will not feel vibration on the body as in the studio, but the sound, guidance and deep rest come through clearly with headphones. Aura cleansing and sound massage are studio only.

How many sessions will I need?

Many people feel calmer after one session. For sleep, stress or pain, a series of four to six sessions usually works best.

Do I need my own bowl?

No. Your practitioner brings everything.

The Listening Room

What is the Listening Room?

A free account that gives you curated singing bowl sounds, a sleep and relaxation track and beginner videos.

Is it really free?

Yes. No payment details are needed. Paid courses and sessions are always optional.

What happened to the free trial session?

We replaced the free live session with the Listening Room, so you can experience sound any time, at your own pace.

Courses and certification

How do on-demand courses work?

Choose the course, pay online by card, PayPal or HitPay, and it opens straight away in My space under Learning. Watch on any phone, tablet or computer, at your own pace. Downloads that come with the course, such as the PDF manual, protocol cards and practice audio, are in the same place for your personal use. Your progress, quizzes and certificate are all in My space.

How long do I keep access to an on-demand course?

12 months from purchase, with the option to extend. Course materials are licensed for your personal use only and may not be shared.

Where should I start?

Most people start with Singing Bowl Essentials (3.5 hours on demand, SGD 90). Your fee is credited if you join Level 1 within three months.

What is the difference between Level 1, 2 and 3?

Level 1 makes you a Certified Practitioner for one-to-one and small-group work. Level 2 makes you a Certified Sound Bath Teacher who leads groups and teaches workshops. Level 3 makes you a Certified Sound Therapist working alongside healthcare.

How is Level 1 assessed?

An online quiz, a practical video, a log of 10 practice sessions and 3 case studies, completed within 90 days.

Can I take a single module?

Yes. Level 2 and Level 3 modules can be taken on their own for continuing education. If you have not done Level 1, you complete Singing Bowl Essentials and a short playing check first.

When do I appear in the directory?

Once your certificate is issued. Enrolment alone does not list you.

Practitioners and the directory

How do I contact a practitioner?

Use "Enquire through AYA" on their profile. AYA confirms availability and arranges the booking.

I trained elsewhere. Can I join?

Yes. Send your details and we will explain the next steps.

Shop and orders

Can I hear the bowl before buying?

Yes. Book a live video selection, or approve a strike video of your actual bowl before it ships.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Import duties, if any, are paid on delivery in your country.

Safety

Who should be careful with sound healing?

Tell us about pacemakers or implants, pregnancy, epilepsy, recent surgery or injury, or sensitive hearing. Bowls are not placed on the body in these cases.

Does sound healing replace medical care?

No. It is complementary care that supports relaxation and wellbeing alongside your medical treatment.
